RAGO's Unreserved Auction (discovery) takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 12th and 13th. I've been spending a bit of time with Catalog 2, "Modern," circling some items. It often clicks in my mind how modern art deco appears to be at this moment in time, a revolution of form, a repeat into the utopian past, a dream of machines, a whisper of light from the engines ahead, until a possible collapse.
